Mike’s career in accounting began during his placement year at Aberystwyth University when he joined a practice, and whilst in a role, he continued to gain his ACA (ICAEW) qualification in 2013.
Growing up on a dairy farm, Mike understands the challenges and complexities of family-owned and operated farming businesses. This connection to the industry gives him insights into his client’s unique needs and aspirations.
Mike is known for his practical approach, simplifying financial plans to make them understandable for his clients. He takes pride in building relationships with his clients, understanding their goals, and tailoring his advice accordingly. Mike is well-versed in financial tools such as Xero and Figured, enabling him to provide comprehensive financial solutions to his clients.
Mike actively engages in professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the business world. He attends conferences like the ICAEW farming and rural business conference and is a member of the ICAEW tax faculty.
