05 Nov 2020
On 22nd October 2020 the first episode of Shropshire Business Live TV (SBLTV) aired, driven by the teams behind Shropshire Business and Shropshire Live, featuring a mixture of news, panel-style debate, expert advice and analysis, including our very own Tax Partner, Paul Brown.
Carl Jones, editor of Shropshire Business hosted the show and covered a range of topics with Paul, including businesses managing the affects of lockdown, the reasoning behind WR Partners’ recent re-brand & the Job Retention Scheme and Government support.
Paul was asked how WR Partners was dealing with keeping clients well informed with the current situation, Paul mentioned “There is a pace of change in what’s happening in Wales for example.. we are trying to help clients get to point where they can focus on running their business and we can help by delivering the information that they really need to make those key business decisions.”
The show was produced and delivered by Yarrington, which has built a new TV studio at its headquarters in Shrewsbury.
On the Shropshire Business Website, Carl Jones explained the reason behind creating the show, “With face-to-face interaction still severely limited, we’ve all been looking for new and innovative ways to get our messages across.
“For the past couple of years, our magazine has been involved in successful Shropshire Business Live breakfast seminars, run in conjunction with Nick Jones Wealth Planning.
“With these having been cancelled for the foreseeable future, and with the new Yarrington studio on our doorstep, we felt this would be a fresh and creative way for the business community to stay connected, informed – and hopefully entertained too.”
Chris Pritchard, editor of Shropshire Live, said: “Shropshire Live and Shropshire Business are at the heart of the local business community, sharing news online and in print to thousands of business readers every month.”
