Are you experiencing an issue with filing your Making Tax Digital VAT return?

Many businesses are now signed up to Making Tax Digital for VAT and are using a compatible software package, such as Xero. To file VAT returns using software and through MTD, businesses will have been required to authorise software to interact directly with HMRC.
This connection must be authorised at least once every 18 months and as we have now passed over 18 months since many businesses first signed up to MTD, we are seeing this link become inactive for many of our clients.
Your software will prompt you when re-authorisation is required, however until this authorisation process has been completed, you will be unable to file your VAT return.
