WR Partners Sponsors Game Changers Networking Lunch at ITF W100 Tennis Tour

11 Sep 2023

WR Partners is proud to announce its sponsorship of the upcoming ‘Game Changers’ networking lunch, a special event on October 19th, 2023, at The Shrewsbury Club.

Hosted by the ITF Women’s World Tennis Tour Shrewsbury and sponsored in collaboration with Aaron & Partners, this event is set to celebrate the remarkable achievements of women who have made a significant impact in their respective fields.

This exclusive luncheon is part of a week-long extravaganza at The Shrewsbury Club, part of the prestigious Budgen W100 – the largest women’s tennis event ever hosted in the UK, scheduled from October 15th to 22nd.

Distinguished keynote speakers include:

Stacey Copeland is an iconic figure who made history as the first British woman to secure the Commonwealth boxing title while representing her country in football.

Maggie Murphy, the visionary CEO of Lewes FC, achieved a groundbreaking milestone by equitably distributing revenue between male and female teams, setting an example for the world.

Felicity Wingrove is a trailblazer who has not only navigated the challenges faced by women in the corporate world but has also become an authority in psycholinguistics and communications.

Helen Spencer, Managing Partner at WR Partners, expressed her enthusiasm: “We are thrilled and honoured to once again extend our support as sponsors for the biggest indoor women’s tennis event in the UK.”

“Reflecting on the astounding event last year, I can’t wait to witness another exceptional talent showcase this year. The prestige surrounding this event is undeniable, exemplified by the remarkable journey of last year’s champion, Marketa Vondrousova, who triumphed at Wimbledon in 2023.”

“Our commitment to the local business community is deeply rooted in our relationships with clients and dedicated teams. With immense pride, we announce an exclusive competition, allowing our clients to win tickets to this grand occasion.”

“In our pursuit of championing exceptional women and fostering the invaluable message of equal opportunities in both business and sports, these events are designed to empower and spotlight the remarkable achievements of women who have risen above challenges, a journey I, as a woman, can relate to.”

The Game Changers Networking Lunch is a platform for three exceptional individuals to share their inspiring stories of resilience and triumph in their paths to success.

With the talented Radio 5 Live tennis reporter Abigail Johnson as the host, the event aims to inspire others to be courageous, trailblazing, and shatter barriers, whether in business or sports.
