WR Partners donation helps Shrewsbury Swimming Club achieve Crowdfunding target

WR Partners have donated £500 to a Crowdfunding campaign set up to help Shrewsbury Amateur Swimming Club secure its future.
The Swimming club started a fundraising campaign in November 2022 to cover the rising costs of pool hire due to the energy crisis, to support members affected by the cost-of-living crisis, cover coaching costs & to recover member numbers following the Covid-19 pandemic. The fundraising target set was to raise £15,000 by 22nd January 2023 and through the generosity of local people, businesses and Sport England, the club have reached their target, WR Partners donation being the pledge that meant the fund reached its goal.
Anna Fletcher, Chair of Shrewsbury ASC said “To learn that WR Partners have chosen to support our campaign is wonderful and crucially their donation means we have now reached our target. Shrewsbury Swimming Club has been running in Shrewsbury for over 125 years and is an integral part of the local community with young people training with us for fun, friendship, well-being, and to be the best swimmer they can be. With this funding we can make sure the club is around for future generations to come and that our current swimmers can all reach their full potential. Thank you to everyone at WR Partners”.
