Tax cutting mini budget expected on 23 September

It has been rumoured for a few weeks, but the death of Queen Elizabeth II had thrown plans into doubt. However it has now emerged that a mini budget to deliver tax cuts promised by Liz Truss during her leadership campaign will take place on Friday 23 September.
There are no concrete details regarding the content of this mini budget but during her leadership campaign, the new PM promised to cut taxes in an attempt to boost the economy and help with the cost of living. It is also possible that further details will be announced regarding the governments energy price plan which was unveiled last week just prior to the announcement of the Queen’s passing.
